Hi my natural sisters!!
I've been natural for 13 months and it truly is a journey.
I'm a mortician and I workout at least 3 to 4 days a week. My dilemma is that once I'm done with my workout my hair seems to do its own thing. :o. I have type 4c hair and OMG sometimes it feels like a type 7,8, or 9 (lol I know there is no such hair type  ) ...although sometimes I wonder!
At any rate..I'm looking forward to chatting with my natural sisters as we make this journey together!!!! ;)

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum. I haven't had a relaxer since Sept. 2014. I'm still in transition mode. I'm a teacher by trade so once the school year is over, I will do the semi-big chop. Right now I'm looking for product suggestions. I've been using Carol's Daughter shampoo and conditioner but I'm looking for what can be used as an everyday curl definer and/or activator. Thanks.

HI, since I am a new member I have plenty of question to becoming a naturalist with my hair. I've been going natural throughout my pregnancy that lasted eight months and I ended with a overall healthy baby being born at 4.13 now he's been gaining weight now he's at 12.3. Now back to me, my hair has been suffering at some breakage for quite some time even before I was doing my transition to natural but two weeks ago I put relaxer in my hair and I am 23. My question is do I have to start over from the start?

Yeah since you retouched your hair all of your progress is now permanently straight. Sorry :( I had a similar experience when I started transitioning, when all along I thought my hair would revert. But time will pass as it has for me, as I'm now 18 months post. Just keep swimming :)

 hello all, I'm in the process of transitioning, it's only been a month but I'm praying.
For starters, my hair has been on a bipolar roller coaster for any many years. I've never known what to do with my hair and I get a lot of negative comments because of it. Right now I don't know what my hair texture is, taking the discovery one day at a time.
I do know it is course and it grows no matter what I do or don't do to it. But the texture I just can't figure out. To look at me now you might say I'm a 4 A or B but every beautician that's ever done my hair always ask me if I'm mixed. I always frown because my skin says different.
Anyway to shorten this up, I just clipped my own hair. I tried a flat twist, looks like I stuck my hand in a socket. I tried small & large Bantu knots; the small are cute & natural but the large ones, although cute it's confusing because it makes my texture look like a 2B soooooo. That's my story, oh & I have a condition known as trichotillomania, I pull my hair out. Help please
